FIFA15 details

FIFA15 release date is late September from the 23rd. We have seen lots of marketing and videos from EA without really seeing many changes. Hopefully if they tweaked everything which was wrong in FIFA14 they might create something good. What we have below is the best gameplay videos, interviews and details of the various new features. The first thing we know everyone wants to see is the gameplay so here are three videos we think show it best. The first is very interesting as the interviewer spots a 50 yard lob through ball (watch from 12:53 mins) and challenges the EA producer Sebastian Enrique about it. Unfortunately Mr Enrique dodges the obvious flaw by saying many players have been given the same abilities as in real life. The pass is from Schurrle however with his weak foot. Unless they have suddenly made him 85 rated with Pirlo style long pass trait we think EA still don’t understand how to code long passes. The ball could bounce off the striker in random directions or maybe have defenders react rather than stand looking stupid.

FIFA15 must watch Q&A to developers

Is there scripting in FIFA15? What new features have been added? Here we have added 6 videos of interviews and game features explained by EA. The first video is a must watch as EA’s David Rutter is grilled about scripting in FIFA and how the game seems to have set instructions to influence the outcome. There are interviews with producers and various people involved in the various games modes such as Ultimate team. It is good to have all these videos in one place so you can find them easily and watch them at your leisure.

FIFA15 demo details

We expect the FIFA15 demo release date to be the 9th September. Might be slightly earlier or later but that makes sense from previous releases. PC might be slightly later but we don’t expect any difference in dates between the consoles. Be aware that the demo is an old build. What we mean is that the developers work on code and release various stages of it for testing. Events such as E3 and Gamescom people get to test up to roughly 60% of the final code. FIFA15beta testers are randomly selected around the world from people who have played FIFA. If you were lucky enough to be one of these you will see a more complete gameplay code but still not 90% finished. Some people have tested the 90% code with EA behind closed doors and there are still issues with the gameplay. The main issue is with goalkeepers who can pull of amazing saves diving top corner of the goal but simple shots they spill or even ignore. Quite bad considering EA marketing involved “Keeper Intelligence”. The demo will have bugs and you will not be happy with the keepers because it isn’t even the 90% code. We are hoping they resolve the issues in time for the game or have a patch being worked on.
