FIFA Ultimate team disconnect fix

We have been playing FIFA16 Ultimate team for several days now (only released 2 weeks ago) and haven’t had any disconnects apart from people actually quitting giving us the win. However lots of people on twitter have been saying their Ultimate team games have been disconnecting at the end not giving them the points but worse still giving them a loss. This uses contracts fitness and obviously is very annoying making FIFA16 Ultimate team unplayable. We asked a few people we know locally and some of them had the issue so we went to see if we could work out why. Turns out something we suggested in our FIFA lag fix page solves the disconnect issue from our tests on Virgin media routers and a netgear router we tried (with ISP router in modem mode). SWITCH off UPnP on your router. You shouldn’t even need the port forwarding adding but they are on the lag fix page too if needed. Below are examples of how to switch off UPnP on various routers. Don’t forget to follow us on twitter @fifaaddiction as we often work with people with issues to resolve them if possible.

How to disable UPnP on various common routers

Below we add some of the most common makes of router which should show you how to disable UPnP. We can’t cover every router obviously so please google yours if not shown. Lots will have superhub type routers from the ISP such as Virgin Media superhub, BT home hub etc. And various models of these. We have added a link to a website at the bottom of the page called SeupRouter with further details.

Virgin Superhub routers. Steps to be followed to disable UPnP

1. Open a browser and type in http://192.168.0.1

2. Log in to the router. By default, user name is “admin” and the Password is “changeme” (or stuck on the bottom of the router). A reset puts the router back to those login details.

3. Click on Advanced settings.

4. Click on UPnP May vary as to where this is depending on your Superhub version.

A very good site for finding out how to configure any router is http://setuprouter.com/ Login to the site and find your router, then look at the “All screenshots section” for your router. Hopefully this will be your FIFA Ultimate team disconnect fix and happy days on FUT!!
