FIFA 12 Ultimate Team disconnect fix?
We hope this is true can everyone try it and let us know if works for you!!! Not had any games disconnect for 3 days now (Xbox). For PS3 see below.

We have tried this with 100% success so far. Around 150 games without disconnect.
Start online cup game. When opponent found showing latency (the 3 bars in middle) make sure it is green straight away not red or amber then green. Then choose kit but do that a bit slower so opponent waits at next step. Select ready. Then quickly check that the opponent you are playing is not set as ‘watching ultimate team’ instead of ‘playing ultimate team’ (see images below). To do this go to message players and your opponent should be top. Check their profile and make sure it says in the game description that they are ‘playing ultimate team’. If it says ‘watching ultimate team’ wait until it says ‘playing ultimate team’. They might disconnect while you wait but it should change in a few seconds. Or you can decide to quit that game and look for someone who is ‘playing ultimate team’ as soon as you check. This means you both have perfect connection to EA server and each other synchronisation wise. Most will quit but if we all start doing it at least everyone will know why the small delay. Not many quit if you delay the kit choice slightly, they just think you are slow or on the phone or something. As long as you don’t take ages.

Hi! I do to get disconnected after my FUT matches. I’m playing on PS3 with wireless connection. I’ve heard that you can switch to modem mode only and that will solve the problem, but my dad says that if you do that, you also take away all the security to your internet… Is that correct? If yes, what else can I do, so I can both play FUT and have my internet security on?

If I buy that one, and do all the things I have to do, will FUT work without problem?
And one more question. If I later take out the cabels after a day, will I have to do the settings on the new router again or will it be saved?
I would advise you ask a friend who is technical and knows about computers and routers. They can look at what we have put and should be able to work it out. It isn’t the easiest thing in the world to get right with different ISPs modems and routers and firewalls etc.

But when everything is finished, can I still use my wireless connection to my PC as the same time as i’m playing on my PS3? The only diffirence then, from now, is that I have to use a wire to my ps3, right?
Yes Emil when you use another router that can have wireless switched on for your pc/laptop. I’m not sure of the set ups in Sweden but hope they are same as England.
hey ive got wireless and i dont want to do the wire as it creates to much of a hassle and its not something wrong with my wifi because my brother plays fifa on his xbox with the wifi and he has no problems no im quite fed up with this as my team would be a lot better if i didn’t have to keep on disconnecting why dont u guys do the exact same thing as fifa11 my friends had no probelms with that game but if there is a fix for the wireless please tell me or im going to the shops tomorrow for a refund
Nothing to do with us we just set up a site to try help people. We have found that PS3 has issues with the routers supplied by your internet service providers. You could say it is a Sony issue as Microsoft fixed the issue on Xbox. Or you could say it is EA issue as other games don’t disconnect and it is only happening on Ultimate Team. Wireless generally isn’t advised as too many things can interrupt the signal. Such as a mobile phone.

Wireless should work if the second none ISP router is set to use it. So in this page – https://fifaaddiction.com/fifa-issues/fifa-connection-issue-fix you could set the white router shown to wireless. We just don’t advise wireless because it is too easily interrupted by mobile signals and even interferes with the wireless controller in our opinion.
well i tried wired today and my friend told me what he did with the wired but it didn’t work is it because my router is 2 years old?
are there any changes i need to make to the router. I have Nat type 2

i have an arris m722 modem, and a d-link 852 router. I used to have a router from apple which worked fine.
My playstation is connected directly too the router and its still disconecting me from EA servers after every match i play in UT Please take a look on it or i will make me get my money back because this bullshit wasent what i meant to pay for.
Is your router set to modem only mode? Let us know the model number so we can have a look.
I have connet it to router and set it to modem mode and still dc and plz hand me the 618 coins i need on my ultimate team cause this is bullshit

You have to look at the following.
Was your current router supplied by your ISP?
Can that be set to modem only mode? (Ask your provider or google the model number)
Most routers should allow this mode. To test if this works without buying a new router set your current router to modem only mode and connect to console direct. Please ask someone technical if unsure. Must have a friend who can have a look for you and read the help.
Is there any other name for a modem mode, because I have been on my router configuration interface, and I haven´t found anything there named modem mode?

hey guys i just got fifa12 on ps3 and yes as everyone else i have been disconnecting but what was really strange is i made about a forth new team as some people said just make a new team and the the first game it worked i got 400 coins but the next one didnt and i kept on trying now my brother has got the xbox360 and its working for him and i don’t know if this happens to everyone who has the problem is that after the game i advanced and it works for about 10-15 seconds then it says u have disconnected if there is anyway u could help me that would be fantastic cheers
Hi John, reminded us to update the page! See updated PS3 part at bottom. This is the only solution we have found to work 100% for PS3.
When i finish my match at ultimate team it just kick me out of ea server tested many time and it still does it!
Does it do it for offline games too?
I am disconnecting on ps3 after every Ultimate Team game ONLY. I’m using a wired connection. I found if I go to ”game data utility” on the xmb menu, and delete fifa 12 then re download the update I can play for 1 ultimate team game without disconnecting. I have been on the forums and some people have said these things work for them, although they haven’t worked for me you guys might find them helpful:
1)Make a substitution before the 20th minute of the game
2)In the last ‘ready’ screen before the game, go to ‘quick tactics’ and change one of them.
3) Sync the Hospitality Settings manually like 20 times.
Did you try waiting until the countdown is on 27 seconds on the final screen before clicking ready? Also does it do it for offline games too? That means it is your router disconnecting from EA Server at end of game. Only way round it is what we found use a seperate router other than provided by ISP.

Is just tried offline, and it disconnects straight after as well.
Then it is your router letting go of the connection to update. What router is it?
checked throught the fifa issues section and it wont work either
i can’t even play any offline games without it disconnecting after every game. it doesnt count as a win or loss but i lose a contract for it
The offline disconnect issue is your router. What ISP are you with? We fixed that in our guide https://fifaaddiction.com/fifa-issues/fifa-connection-issue-fix No other thing we tried solved this problem.

Same reply give it 10 seconds on final ready screen. We still testing PS3 but so far no disconnects.
it didnt work for me, i had green connection straight away, waited 10-15 seconds, played a match, but this time it freezed on the after match screen, where it says how many coins you get, i needed to unplug my ps3 and start it up all over.
ea needs to fix this, i payed 60 euros for this game, and it doesnt even work.
i also get the East FC error, dont know if that helps you guys in progress?
hope you find a solution for ps3, i dont trust Ea, a friend of me bought battlefield3 and is having the same problems.

The same problems are down to how rubbish the general routers are supplied by ISPs in UK. We have Virgin Superhub going through Netgear router and everything works. Take out the Netgear router and trouble all over place. We are doing traces of all packets during games but taking a long time to find the actual issue. Are you in the Netherlands be good to see what your set up is like.

dont now much detail,s i did put in DNZ.
but port forwarding is a maze for me.
I´m on PS3, so what I do is wait on the game screen for 5-10 sec and thats it?
The final ready screen give it 10 seconds. We still testing ps3 to see if works same as Xbox.
hi, we had posted this possible solution in the ea forum, and for some people works on ps3 and others it doesnt.
personally i tried one match and it finished succesfully, but it was maybe lucky.
do yuo know anything about this issue? we are waiting so long…
We are testing PS3 fully at weekend, managed to get Xbox working for 3 days in a row. Not had one disconnect. Being Xbox gamers we are slower on PS3 and still learning it. We bought one especially tho. It should be same though. At the final ready screen before game leave it 5-10 seconds. The connections will synchronise. Otherwise one finishes before the other and server doesn’t record it properly.
Having said that we need to see what happens if people use a few dodgy disconnect techniques on purpose. So far they haven’t disconnected us on Xbox.
Could you please find a fix for the PC version also?
Adding to general PC lag fix section tonight so check back tomorrow. We not sure how to check the status of opponent on PC but on the final ready screen leave it 10 seconds before starting the game. See it works for PC too. We won’t get chance to test it until tomorrow still working on updating the section.
comon now ea, it doesnt work. I cannot understand how it could worked in ultimate team fifa 11. Its only workin when I’m at my dads place. wtf is wrong? I wasted maybe 3 k in ultimate team. this is recidilous
