Ultimate team bidding guide

Bidding guide for FIFA 12 Ultimate team.

Lots of people have been asking for tips on bidding. So here it is. We follow this every time.

We are never in a rush to buy a player to use. This is key.

Always search on the player you want by adding the league, club and nationality into the filters. At this stage do not filter out your formation.

Check every player for sale, if a 3-5-2 buy it now is 7k, and the lowest price buy it now 4-1-2-1-2 is 20k. When you want a 4-1-2-1-2 you know you can buy a 4-1-2-1-2 formation card for up to 6k and you have yourself that player for just 13k. BUT before you do that check on open bids in the 4-1-2-1-2 formation as it might be that someone is trying to price lock them all. This means they are buying 4-1-2-1-2 versions in open bids maybe for as little as 10k and then price locking them at 20k. So in an open bid you might win a 4-1-2-1-2 version for less than 13k. Remember not to bid over 13k as you can go back and buy the 3-5-2 version buy it now plus formation card. Maybe even find an open bid lower than that on any formation.

To show an example of this we will add a video on our youtube channel and add it here on the right as we have done this several times with players.

Always pay the lowest price you can find. If a buy it now is much lower than the current lowest price and also buy it now on others then take it.

If they are the same price check the contracts of the player. Try get one with 50+ at the same price as the lowest either in a bid or buy it now. If you followed our advice on manager contracts you will understand it is quite cheap to add 50+ contract so never pay more for players with them.

If bidding goes above the lowest price player you found stop bidding. And don’t fuss about it. Remember you aren’t desperately buying.

The actual bid

People ask should I put my highest bid in straight away or wait. We recommend wait. Why put in your highest bid when maybe nobody else will bid. Will save yourself a lot of coins. Wait until 15 seconds are left. If lots are bidding remember what you found above so you know the lowest price you can pay for the player. If it settles wait until 3 seconds then add a small bid. Often they will bid straight away. Wait until 3 seconds and place your next small bid. You might suddenly see a few bids come in. Don’t worry this is a common technique used by desperate people trying to put you off. As long as the price hasn’t gone above your lowest price then again wait until 3 seconds and place your next small bid. The other person will be annoyed by now and will either drop out or put a high bid in or will copy you doing a last second small bid. Keeping an eye on the value again wait until 3 seconds then place a small bid. Usually if they didn’t do a silly high bid before they will give up now and you win the bid.

Any questions let us know and will amend this.
