The January Team of the Year is 11 players only as decided by FIFPro, the world wide professional footballers association in real life.
These are announced on Jan 7th and the keeper and defenders in packs 30 mins AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT in Zurich. The midfielders are in packs a couple of days later and the forwards a couple of days after that. The Team of the year players are dark blue (we were right first time!) in January. Not to be confused with the Team Of The Season players which EA release at the end of May for each of the major leagues and are light blue (or were last year). When both TOTY and TOTS players are about to come out the prices of all normal players on Ultimate team drop heavily as people sell to try buy the new players. Also to buy packs in an attempt to find a TOTY or TOTS.

Will they put TOTY players back in packs at anytime?
No will have to wait for Upgrades next in a week or so. Then Team of The Season players from all leagues in a few months.
Will the TOTY cards increase or decrease in value when they’re out of packs?
They go up and down. Usually after a few weeks rise in price and then settle.

Are the player prices going to rise after this TOTY season? Is it profitable to buy cheap players now and sell them later?
Can buy Friday night when at lowest and sell couple of days later. Depends when they release the whole TOTY players in packs at same time. Which they usually do. That forces prices down again.

Falcao is not as good as RVP…. this TOTY is pathetic. Ashely cole is better than marcelo. Kompany has done better than pique. apart from that its fine

I’m a little new to this thing (played FUT last year but did so pretty lightly), so I was wondering how this works exactly? When they release the XI will they just be available at random in packs? Or will they have more expensive packs that feature the TOTY? And if they just come at random, has anyone had any success finding them in years past?

How will the toty affect the prices of regular players in it? Say for example, sergio ramos, who doesn’t have an inform, would his regular cards price rise or fall if he gets into the toty?
Well it would fall obviously as there would be a better card out
team of the year is coming out in less than 5 hours… I have a prem team and i want to get aguero, kompany, vidic and hart… at the moment aguero is roughly around 110k how much does the price drop by???and should i sell my team now???reply asap thanks

Oh thanks, I’d never seen any videos of it before, I’m glad you agree because I was starting to wonder if I was imagining it! I spent ages building my team with TOFW balotelli, benteke and TOTY cavani, marchetti and barzagli and lost 7 out of 8 games, and worse still didn’t score a single goal in most if them! Spent two minutes replacing the informs with normal players and scored 6 goals in the next game before they quit! It’s so annoying! Same thing happened with my Spanish team!
I hear a lot of guys saying that i must sell my team but, what if I dont give a s*** about TOTY, Can i still play machtes with not-overpowerd-squad people or is everyone gonna sell his team for TOTY

A lot of my friends are telling me to sell my ultimate team as player prices will decrease once the team of the year to come out, except my only valuable players are Ivanovic, Sagna, RVP, Podolski, Valencia, and Young. Would I get the benefits in coins of selling my team?

No will be the midfielders the week after and the attackers the week after that.

Does a inform version justify the money it costs to get one, and is the Toty a lot better than the normal version?
TOTY are better but no in form is really worth the big price. Wait until they drop in price.

What happens to the price of TOTW players which aren’t picked for TOTY? Such as Samuel or Milito, will their price drop too?
